House Rules
The house rules

To keep every guest's stay as comfortable and safe as the last, we've put together a few ground rules. They're not here to spoil the fun — they protect the peaceful feel and the pristine condition of Bearly Hangin' On. Thank you for treating our home with the same care you'd give your own.

The essentials

  • At least one guest must be 25 or older at the time of booking.
  • Pets are welcome with prior approval — we're animal lovers too. Please clean up after them, keep them off the beds and furniture, and never leave them unattended in the cabin.
  • No smoking or vaping indoors — outside only. Details on the Smoking page.
  • No parties or events beyond the guests included in your booking.
  • Please keep things quiet after 10:00 PM out of respect for our neighbors — including the outdoor Bluetooth speaker.

Safety & property care

  • Fire safety: per local fire code, no candles, matches, or open flames inside. The gas fireplace runs October 1–April 30 only — see Gas fireplace.
  • Don't disable safety devices — never cover or tamper with the smoke or carbon-monoxide detectors, or the exterior cameras (Security cameras).
  • Supervise children at all times — especially on the stairs, around the hot tub, and on the decks. The bunk beds and hot tub are used at your own risk.
  • Don't feed the wildlife or leave food or trash outside — more in Nature & bears and Trash & recycling.
  • Treat the cabin, furnishings, hot tub, and appliances with care — guests are responsible for any damage.

Weather & roads

Our mountain roads are paved but curvy and steep, and the final road down stays shaded — so 4-wheel drive and/or chains are strongly recommended in winter. We can't control the weather, and refunds aren't given for weather or road conditions. More in Road & seasons.

And the one we love: If you open it, close it. If you turn it on, turn it off. If you borrow it, return it. If you move it, put it back. If you break it, tell us. If you make a mess, clean it up. And above all — enjoy your stay at Bearly Hangin' On.
