Before You Arrive
What to bring

We've worked hard to make Bearly Hangin' On feel like a home you can just walk into, so your packing list can stay short. Here's a helpful starting point — the things worth tossing in the car, and everything that's already waiting for you.

What to bring

  • Groceries and drinks for your stay — it's easiest to stock up on the way up; see Groceries & pharmacy for our favorite stops.
  • Clothing for all kinds of mountain weather — layers are your best friend up here, since even summer evenings on the deck can turn cool. Peek at the live forecast before you pack.
  • Any specialty toiletries you're particular about — good news: we provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
  • A good book or two for a slow afternoon on the deck.
  • Your own phone charger as a backup — we keep one in every room, but they have a way of wandering home with guests.

What we provide

This is by no means exhaustive — we've tried to cover the essentials so you don't have to haul everything up the mountain. Here's what you'll find waiting:

  • Shampoo, conditioner, body wash & soap in the bathrooms
  • Hair dryer, fresh towels, bed linens, and extra pillows & blankets
  • Toilet paper, paper towels, and hand & dish soap
  • Dishwasher detergent, coffee filters, and ground coffee
  • Hangers and an iron
  • A fully stocked kitchen — pots, pans, dishes, and more (see Kitchen)
  • Board games — and a phone charger in every room

Bringing little ones?

We've got you covered: a pack ‘n play, a high chair/booster, and a basket of kids' books & toys are already here — so that's a few big items you can leave at home.
Arrive and wish something was here? Please tell us! It might already be in a drawer — or it'll make the list for the next guests.
