BBQ grill

Steaks at altitude, anyone? The gas grill on the deck is ready for burgers, brats, or a proper cookout — and with outdoor furniture and a dining area right there, you can fire it up and eat in the mountain air without heading back inside. Few things beat dinner with this view.

The safety gas timer

You'll notice a red dial timer on the propane line — a NO WORRIEZ auto-shutoff gas timer. It's a simple safety feature: you twist it to set how long the gas can flow, and when time's up it shuts the gas off by itself, so there's no way to accidentally leave it running.

  1. 1Twist the red timer to your cook time — give yourself plenty, say 30–60 minutes.
  2. 2Light and use the grill as usual.
  3. 3When the timer winds down to zero, the gas shuts off automatically. Just twist it again if you need more time.
  4. 4When you're done, please still turn the grill's own burner knobs off.
Fire safety requirement. Smoky Mountain area regulations require a propane grill to be present and operational at all times — we're inspected every year to ensure compliance. This grill is here for your enjoyment and as a required fire-safe alternative to open wood fires.
Don't leave food, grease, or scraps out on the grill or deck overnight — to a bear, that's a dinner bell. A quick wipe-down keeps everyone safe (more in Nature & bears).
