Jetted tub

Upstairs in the master suite, a deep jetted Jacuzzi tub sits right against the wall of windows. Picture it: the jets humming, steam rising, a glass of something within reach — and out past the glass, the treetops swaying and the mountains turning blue in the evening light. After a day of hiking, or chasing the kids around Dollywood, this is where the day quietly melts off your shoulders.

A couple of small things

Fill it to a comfortable depth — but go easy near the top. Like most big tubs, there isn't quite enough hot water to fill it all the way up (there's a little sign by the tub noting this), so a roughly three-quarter fill keeps the water hot and the soak long.
One little secret to keep the soak perfect: save the bubble bath, oils, shampoo, and conditioner for the regular shower. In a jetted tub they foam up wildly through the jets — far more suds than anyone bargains for — and they're hard on the plumbing. Here, plain hot water is all you need.
