Half the fun is the drive in. You'll slip off the main parkway, cross a little bridge, and climb up through the trees until the world goes quiet and the cabins thin out — and then you're home. A couple of these turns are easy to miss, so here's the lay of the land. First, the one thing that trips people up:
Use “Piney Drive” — not Piney Road or Piney Lane. There's more than one Piney in these hills, and your GPS will happily send you to the wrong one. Punch in 2617 Piney Drive, Sevierville, TN 37876.
1From I-40, take Exit 407 (Sevierville) onto TN-66 South.
2At the Sevierville intersection, continue straight onto US-441 South and follow it through Sevierville and Pigeon Forge.
3About a mile past Pigeon Forge, stay in the left lane and turn left onto King Branch Road, crossing the bridge. (Your GPS sometimes calls this a U-turn — then it's an immediate right, and another quick right. That's King Branch.)
4Turn right onto Silver Poplar, into the Sky Harbor area, and stay straight — don't follow the signs pointing off toward Silver Poplar, just keep going straight.
5Turn left onto Rose Pass — you'll spot a blind-spot mirror on a telephone pole.
6At the stop sign, turn left onto Ginny Trail (glance just to your left for the street sign).
7Turn right onto Cedar Pass, then left onto Holly Pass.
8Turn right onto Piney Drive and head down the hill. We're on the left, just before the road turns to gravel.
Pull into the flat parking area right in front of the cabin, look up for the carved Bearly Hangin' On sign — and take a breath. You made it.
Heads up: if you've added this guidebook to your home screen, it works offline — so these directions are right here even when your signal isn't.
